European Day of Languages Ceremony

GIBS was honored yet again to be invited to perform for the opening ceremony of the European Day of Languages.  Due to covid restrictions, the group was very small this year: Matthieu Springer (8a) opened the event, performing Les Feuilles Mortes by Jacques Prévert and Yves Montand in French, accompanying himself on the guitar. Tara Stranegger (8b) performed the infamous Bach Cello Suite no. 1 (prelude). Matthieu sang and played the renowned African-American spiritual Sometimes I Feel Like a Motherless Child with Tara on cello and Lina on piano.  To close off the event, Lina Platzgummer (5c) performed Ha volna két életem in Hungarian, accompanying herself on the piano with Matthieu joining on guitar.  Thank you to our amazing students for sharing their talent at this special event!
