Virtual Visit to the OeWF SuitLab and Mission Support Center
How do analog astronaut do? How do they train? How heavy is the spacesuit?
These were some of the questions asked by our 3c students during the online virtual visit to the OeWF SuitLab and Mission Support Center.
During the virtual visit, the students debated the importance of expeditions that test devices and spacesuitst suitable for the next space missions.
OeWF analog astronauts are specifically trained for the OeWF Mars spacesuit simulator “Aouda” and are preparing for future human Mars missions in the fields of engineering, planetary surface operations, astrobiology, geophysics/geology and life sciences.
Next Mars Simulation: Portugal/AMADEE-27
