In the week before Easter the Year 2 classes visited the Jolly Factory in Graz. The outing was part of the cross-curricular project “Production of goods in factories”, which they were doing in Crafts and Geography and Economics at that time.
It was interesting for the students to see where and how their colored pencils and water colors are produced and to actually see what mass production, division of labor and automation mean. At the end they had the opportunity to visit the little factory outlet shop.
It was a great outing!
