Enchantment of the Opera

Classes 2a, 2b and 2c took a trip to the Stefaniensaal to hear the Graz Recreation Orchestra’s dress rehearsal for the program ‘Der Zauberer’. Students were treated to Schubert’s ‘Overture zu die Zauberharfe, Dukas‘ ‚Der Zauberlehrling‘, Ralph Vaughan William’s ‚Oboenkonzert‘, as well as John William’s ‘Harry Potter Suite – the Sourcerer’s Stone’.

GIBS parent Katharina Stangl and former GIBS student Floris Fortin of the Oberton String Octet were featured in the orchestra and had a chance to speak with a few students during the break and after the rehearsal!
