US Ambassador Visit to Gibs
On Friday the 30th of January, the GIBS Debate Club had the honor and opportunity to meet and speak with the US Ambassador to Austria, Arthur Fisher. We got to spend an hour asking him questions and engaging in friendly discussions about several topics, such as his duties as the Ambassador as well as global issues, such as climate change. It was an interesting way to see how the countries of the world are interconnected and can work together in many contexts. This interview was a great experience for GIBS students to see the world from a different perspective.

Year 1 students, alongside 3C and the Junior Choir, performed the American children’s classic ‘Sing’ from Sesame Street for the American ambassador. Student representative Anna Marchl introduced the song by drawing parallels between our school and the show, including our shared objective to celebrate the cultural and linguistic diversity in our community.
Current and recently graduated GIBS students and teachers joined forces to perform the first movement of Mozart’s Eine Kleine Nachtmusik. The ensemble included: Paula Wessely 3c, Noah Schulte 4c, Anna Stangl 5b, Yeva Breslavets 6i, Sophie Stangl 8i, Ms. Canizares (music), Mr. Szell (biology). Former GIBS students Hanna Reiter and Zoe Maletz were warmly welcomed back for this Austrian classic!
