European Day of Languages 2025

On October 16th, three weeks after the official European Day of Languages, GIBS celebrated this day of language diversity with two main events. The Year 1 classes had group workshops with Year 8 students who taught them English with various activities and games. At the same time the Year 2 classes had workshops with Year 7 students in the four other languages taught at GIBS: French, Latin, Russian and Spanish. In addition to that, the Language Café took place in the long break. This is an opportunity for all students to share some words and phrases from their mother tongues with the rest of the GIBS community. It was brilliant to hear so many different languages being spoken in our school!
