Quo Vadis?

In October 2026, our Year 7 Latin students set off with Ms Schatz and Ms Zwischenberger to conquer Rome, the Eternal City!

We explored magnificent churches, ancient monuments, fascinating museums, the legendary Via Appia, and the Catacombs of San Sebastiano.

We admired breathtaking views from the dome of St Peter’s Basilica and the terrace of Castel Sant’Angelo – absolutely MARVELLOUS! Getting up there, however, meant climbing quite a few stairs. And walking? More than 22,000 steps a day – XI milia passuum! Our feet may have suffered, but our spirits remained high, especially when delicious Italian food in traditional trattorias, creamy gelati and excellent espressi were waiting for us. After all, de gustibus non est disputandum – there is no arguing about taste, especially when it comes to Italian ice cream! We returned home on the comfortable night jet with countless memories of our Roman adventure. Veni, vidi, gelati!
