3c Visit the Graz Philharmonic Orchestra
Class 3c had the fabulous opportunity to sit in on a rehearsal with the Graz Philharmonic orchestra this week, which was pure delight! To prepare for this event, two musicians from the orchestra came GIBS for a workshop. We then traveled to the rehearsal space near the opera house, where we listened to the orchestra rehearse the final movement of Dvořák’s magnificent New World Symphony. Afterwards, students had the chance to ask the Graz Opera’s chief conductor, Vassilis Christopoulos, questions about his role and experiences.
It was an exciting experience for everyone! As an added bonus, we also ran into GIBS graduate and singer Ailish Schreiner on our way to the rehearsal.
