Visit to the Institute of Experimental Physics (TU Graz)
On the 16th of April, we (the year 7 physics IB students) had the wonderful opportunity
to visit the Institute of Experimental Physics of the TU-Graz.
This was an eye opening
experience, as we not only got to observe and learn about lasers and their applications
and use, but also gained an insight into what University life could look like for us in the
future.
The excursion consisted of a laboratory demonstration conducted by a
researcher at the university, and was then followed by an introduction to the courses
offered and the university experience in general.
We truly believe this was a great experience that allowed us to take a glimpse at what
our future may look like. Not only were we able to observe and learn from a specialist in
the field, but we were also able to ask our own individual questions and learn about
courses we may be interested in as Physics students.
