Mathe Mix Doppel

On the 19th of December 48 students from year 1 and 42 students from year 2 formed mixed teams of 2 to take part in the Mathe Mix Doppel School competition.

For 45 minutes the teams tried to answer 18 Math questions and 1 estimate in case of a tie. In these 45 minutes one could see them discussing, talking, laughing and thinking together.

In year 1 three teams tied for first place, meaning the estimate decided the winner, giving the following results:

  1. 1st place: Mark Schnellbach and Polina Zabolotna (1b)
  2. 2nd place: Anna-Maria Reinisch and Paul Fritsch (1b)
  3. 3rd place: Katharina Häusl (1a) and Clemens Schantl (1b)

In year 2 two teams tied for third place and two teams tied for first place.

  1. 1st place: Daniel Hofmann-Wellenhof (2b) and Christina Ludwig (2a)
  2. 2nd place: Sara Hock (2c) and Elisey Trummer (2c)
  3. 3rd place: Tekla Auer (2a) and Dhruv Rao (2b)

This means Mark and Polina and Daniel and Christina will represent us at the Styrian finals in February.

Congratulations to all the teams, we are very proud of you!
