NASA Moonshot Course

Gibs had the opportunity to be part of the first collaboration between NASA and the Bildungsministerium. Ten schools were selected and developed the NASA Moonshot course during this school year, a hands-on program that encouraged the students to understand the different aspects of the space program.

This amazing program aims to engage the students with NASA’s missions and cultivate the next generation of explorers.

The students studied the impact of the physical and psychological aspects of astronaut training and researched the effects of cosmic radiation and lunar dust. During the course the students also developed a lunar lander, constructed and launched rockets and discussed the different requirements for a lunar base.
