2a in ANCIENT EGYPT

At the end of the 'Ancient Egypt Workshop' our whole class performed a play called “Where is the mummy?“ It deals with a lot of different aspects of Ancient Egyptian life. We studied our lines, acted them out, and brought costumes to class. We really had a lot of fun!

The play is about about Flip and Flop, two curious mice, who live together with their parents in a museum. Every night when their parents go to sleep the two mice travel back in time to bring valuable artefacts to the museum. This time they go to Ancient Egypt in order to get a cat (!) statue. In Ancient Egypt they meet Ramses II and four of his priests. Flip and Flop learn that under no circumstances should they look directly into the Pharaoh's eyes (a sin punishable by death). The two mice hear the priests talk about the traditional burial process, and have the chance to chat with the powerful gods Osiris and Anubis.

It was very interesting and exciting to watch each other act!
